How to share internet from Internet Dongle (Mblaze,TATA Photon,Idea 3G Netsetter..etc)

This post will describe sharing internet using Internet Dongles.You can use any Dongles.

To do this one system can be sonsidered as host or server and
this system will have working Dongle Connection(I am using MTS MBlaze).

Following are list of settings need to be done on server and client machine.


On Server / Host Computer

Step 1: Connect Internet Dongle in a USB port

Step 2: Go to Control Panel-> Network and sharing Center-> click on Internet Dongle(Eg: MTS Mblaze)
            -> click on properties->Sharing Tab->
    check "Allow other network users to connect......"
    and    " Establish a dial-up connection whenever a computer....." check boxes.
    Click on Settings button and select the sevices you want to share.

Step 3: Now click on Local Area Connection-> Properties->Select "Internet Protocol version (TCP/IPv4)-> click Properties.
           You will see an ' Use the following ip address is selected and IP address is generated as 192.168.137.1

Step 4: Go to Control Panel->  Network and sharing Center-> Internet Option-> Connection Tab->Select 'Never Dial a connection'.

           In LAN settings, tick on "Use automatic configuration script " check box and type 192.168.137.1
           also tick on "Use a proxy server for your LAN" check box and type 192.168.137.1 then Click OK.




On Client Machine

Step 1: Go to Control Panel-> Network and Internet->Network and Sharing Center-> Change adapter setting (on left side)

Step 2 : Now click on Local Area Connection-> Properties->Select "Internet Protocol version (TCP/IPv4)-> click Properties.
             select "use the following IP address" and type
    IP address :192.168.137. 2
    Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
    Default gateway:192.168.137.1.1
   
    For getting " DNS server settings" go to Step 3
   

Step 3: Just Go to your Server/Host PC

          Go to Control Panel-> Network and Internet->Network and Sharing Center-> Change adapter setting (on left side)

Step 4:     Right click on the Internet dongle-> click 'Status' ->then click 'Details'
    u can see IPv4 DNS servers




Type its as Preferred and Alternate DNS in client PC
